Terms of Use
Last updated 10 August 2026. These terms cover your use of theasbestospeople.co.uk. Using the site means you accept them.
Who runs this site
The Asbestos People is operated by Adrian Falder. Contact: info@theasbestospeople.co.uk.
What the site is for
It publishes the Health and Safety Executive register of licensed asbestos contractors, sorted by area, alongside general information about asbestos. It is free to use and you do not need an account.
What it is not is set out on the disclaimer page, and that page is part of these terms.
Using the site
- Use it for your own purposes, personal or business. Look up a contractor, check a licence, read the guides.
- Do not scrape it wholesale or republish the listings as your own. The underlying register is public and you are welcome to go and get it from the HSE, which is where it belongs.
- Do not use the enquiry form to sell anything or to send anything abusive. It reaches a real person.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the site or its security.
The enquiry form
Submitting an enquiry asks us to pass your details to HSE licensed contractors covering your area. It does not create a contract with anyone, does not oblige any contractor to respond, and does not oblige you to accept a quote.
Any contract for work is between you and the contractor. We are not a party to it, we take no fee from it, and we cannot resolve a dispute about it. What happens to your details is set out in the privacy policy.
Accuracy
The listings are reproduced from the HSE register and checked weekly, with the check date shown on every area page. We take care over it, but the HSE register is the authority. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
Content and copyright
The words, layout and design of this site belong to its operator. The contractor data belongs to the Health and Safety Executive and is public information about businesses.
You may quote a reasonable extract with a link back. You may not copy the site or its area pages wholesale.
Availability
The site is provided as it is. It may be unavailable at times for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and no guarantee of uninterrupted access is given.
